Plasma from a grape?

I heard about this a few days ago in school, and I have to admit that I didn't believe it. Then I looked it up and found this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_ux8nSWmAz0

Now you tell me: Is this real, or is everyone who makes these thousands of videos (trust me, google it) bored and do some creative video editing?
 
Dakare, I do believe that's it all real. Maybe it can lead to something that can revolutionize something in the Scientific Industry.... Who knows...
 
I find it rather interesting that a grape could conduct in such a manner. Of course, after reading both articles presented I do not see grapes as viable for much other than consumption and one odd experiment. Of course, as technology increases we may find some use for this information, not so much the grapes themselves. If you study the history of radium, uranium, and one non-element, electricity, experiments from the 1600s discovered how certain objects can conduct and release energy. Back than, the information served no real use, although when applied in the 1800s and early 1900s, many scientific advances were made.

Again, as far as the grapes providing a plasma source, no :).
 
I don't know... I just wanted to sound smart... lol ;). Well, I will leave this discussion to you people...
 
Even if this is a revolutionary scientific discovery, I doubt the government will let people put it to use regarding whatever you could use the plasma for. This happened with the hydroelectric fuel: they won't allow hydro cars to be put on the market for fear of losing the gas business. The government sticks its hand into everything from an average basketball game to these plasma grape things.
 
Honestly, I can't really believe that... But, nonetheless... That would pay for the ZS Chatroom... :)
 
If it were real, I'm sure those guys probably would have patented the process rather than post it on youtube. There probably would have been something on the news about it too. But about the grapes, it would be cool if we harnessed the energy and used that for power instead of fossil fuels.
