I thought the Resident Evil movie was excellent. I have the original game (it sucks, really) and they weren't too much alike. In fact they were almost completely different (although I haven't played the game in a while, I might be forgetting some things).
I'll try not to put in any spoilers.
This movie was about a secret underground research lab in Raccoon City that made a huge medical breakthrough, the T-virus.
This lab had been conducting illegal research and many people had protested against it, although there was no proof.
The lab had an automated security system that "screwed up", and a special team was sent to see what happened.
There were 2 Resident Evil movies and another one coming.
If anyone has seen this movie, please explain the ending. This is what I got from it, am I right? (some spoilers)
The people in white decide to open up the hive again and they carry away the survivors. The man is put in the "Nemesis" project. Why the hell would those idiots open up the hive, especially after the team didn't make it?
Alice is in a wierd white room. Behind the mirror there is a man walking and a wierd zombie noise. Who is this man (is he just a zombie) and how did he and Alice survive the nuke?
After she gets out she sees the city is empty. There is a view of a newspaper with the headline "THE DEAD WALK". She picks up a shotgun and pumps it.
