Chicken Or The Egg?

Anyone ever think about that question? Which do you think came first? The Chicken or the Egg?

I would think the egg since a chicken is hatched, but then doesnt a chicken have to lay an egg?

Well if you believe in evolution, then the egg came first. Whatever proto chicken life-form came before the chicken laid an egg that contained a genetic mutation that resulted in a bird that we now associate as a chicken. So egg, in my opinion.

that makes lots of sense. I know I seen a video somewhere from cnn that they had a debate on this and gave there professional opinions, I will try to locate this video

Although, ironically, the post that I more or less copied (originally by Notch, aka Markus Perrson, on tumblr), has the same argument with a different out come.
