The Great Sage of The Seven Sages
Hello everyone... I am The Great Sage. Welcome to the newest Legend of Zelda game that was announced on September 13th, 2022 during the Nintendo Direct Livestream.
So, as many of you may know, Legend of Zelda's newest flagship game (Breath of the Wild) has been still one of Nintendo's best-selling game for the past 6 years, ever since it first debuted with the Nintendo Switch console on March 3rd, 2017. Many A+ game titles have come out since then for the Nintendo Switch: Super Mario Odyssey, Super Mario 3-D All-Stars, Super Mario Party, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, Legend of Zelda - Skyward Sword HD Remaster, Kirby and the Forgotten Land, Super Smash Brothers Ultimate, and many more. Over the last 6 years we have seen many things going on, but nothing was more anticipated than the next installment of the Legend of Zelda series.
Legend of Zelda - Tears of the Kingdom has officially been announced and revealed during the Nintendo Direct Livestream that took place on September 13th, 2022 at 7am PST. It was the final trailer that they had revealed at the very end of their stream. There are many theories surrounding the game and its storyline. We only got to see Link maneuvering around between ground and sky, which gives us the theory that Skyward Sword game-play is possibly in play. You also have a stone glider that you can seemingly call on (again Skyward Sword reference to calling your Loftwing), that you use to get around high places. The other trailers have also revealed many other ideas and theories of what we are up against. For instance, when Link touched Calamity Ganon's decrypted body, he became cursed with some style of ancient black magic that has infused itself with Link and gave his arm some tribal style pattern. In another trailer, we saw that the Master Sword is completely shattered into actual pieces. We have also seen that Zelda is wondering through some more ancient tombs with Link, as she continues to dive even further.
In truth, I am still left with more questions than answers... What happened to the Master Sword?? What are we going to have to do in order to rebuild it?? Is that black magic something we can use or will it make Link lose control?? Are the Korok seeds gone and replaced with finding the Gold Skulltulas instead?? With floating islands in the sky, what else are we going to be running into?? Many many questions and still very few answers... But, fear not. With this latest trailer, we not only got the official game title, but we also got the official release date. Contrary to my original prediction, it's not going to be released by March 3rd, 2023. Instead, it's going to be released on May 12th, 2023. So, make sure you save the date and be ready. Because, I'm willing to bet that there will be a Special or Collector's Edition of the game, along with Amiibos, and even Joy Cons.
What are your theories?? What else do you think we will see in this next installment of the Legend of Zelda franchise?? Comment down below and let's find out more!!
