Well... yeah. This is it :)

It's been a looooooong time since I started Zeldasages and since them I've posted 2000 posts.

This is it.

My 2000th post.

Sly suggested that I make a thread about it in a pm and I think this is worthy of it's own thread. I doubt that many people will really care but I think this is a pretty big bench mark for anyone so... yeah...

Congradulations. I think this is at least noticible enough to have a discussion everyday. Its not everyday that one of our members reaches 2000 post.

I'm going to be slightly Yoyoll-ish here:

Who cares about your 2000th post? You already have Sage, so it's not like you're working towards a rank. Heck, 2000 posts doesn't even get you a rank. 4000 does, but that's a different story.

Anyway, congrats I guess.

I agree completely to that but my post per day is only slightly higher than yours meaning you are almost as bad :p

But in all seriousness, this may surprise some of you but I do have a life outside of here :) This occupies me when I'm on my computer...
 
hey i won that trivia contest by all luck. i guessed on the zelda and final fantasy questions cause i dont play them that much and i had the power of wikipedia to help me in my time of need. so im not the nerd. for the most part...the guy who invented wiki is!

Well, the nerds are the ones that will one day find a cure for cancer, AIDS, and ALD. They'll also be the ones that create the technology to advance your home life and the scientific research environment. I would say run the world, but it's fairly clear that's not true. If nerds were running the world though, it'd be a different story :D.

Therefore, support animaldude's 2000 posts; he may one day save you from Syphilis or something like that ;).
 
I'm sorry, I meant geeks. Knowledge of Zelda will probably never help you cure cancer or AIDS or ALD
 
I wouldn't say I'm a nerd though... or a geek. I'm obsessed with my computer because it's what I do when I procrastinate. I come on here for the same reasons people go on myspace and facebook when they're on a computer. I have a list of things I check daily on my computer and this is one of them. Being I've established myself as an active member of this forum... this is one of the higher priorities of my computer life.

wow... that may have sounded really nerdy but that's what happens when you are on a forum with several nerds. I wouldn't say I'm a geek either because if you haven't noticed, I'm no zelda genius, yet I find an interest in videogames in general and the industry as a whole... here is where I discuss it. Nerds and geeks are defined as lacking social skills and being in a group of people that are also considered nerds and geeks. That's really the opposite of me because my close group of friends are no where near "nerds of "geeks".

So, I don't see anything wrong with nerds or geeks... but I don't use this forum because I'm a nerd or geek. I use it because it's fun... I guess you can say it's a hobby. Generally, i'd say that the people on this forum are smart. Just because you're smart doesn't mean your nerdy. Example: I get good grades and I take honors classes yet I'm still athletic and own at gymm sports:cool:... So if you use this forum you're not a nerd. You're a nerd if you use this forum and you lack social skills...

So basically anyone who lacks social skills is a nerd/geek to you? That's weird. My brother is a major nerd/geek person and he has a lot of friends. I consider myself a nerd/geek, but I don't lack in social skills. You stereo-type too much.
 
huh... you can't call yourself a nerd if you aren't one. I'm basing my thoughts on the definition. So TECHNICALLY you are not a nerd if you are very social. I guess you can theoretically be a nerd if you engage in those sorts of activities...
