what has obama done for us?

He closed Gitmo, except now he can't. He got us out of Iraq, except we're still there. He ended partisanship, except he didn't. He ended racial politics, except he's promoting it. He's "saved" millions of jobs, but he has not yet stopped the seas from rising, took control over GM, He passed the "stimulus" package giving us a record debt, passed cap and tax and it now trying to control our lives with a health care bill. That's about it. That's what he's done for the country.

Obama said unemployement would never go above 8%, it has. He promised a more transparent government but the hastefullness to pass the stimulus, cap and tax, and health care says other wise. He promised our taxes wouldn't be increased but his health care plan would increase our taxes. Once obama can pass this health care he can control our lives, what we eat, what we do, how we do things, when we can do things.

I am begining to think obama is purposefully trying to destroy our economy and our lives. Giving us a massive debt. Spending our money isn't going to make things better. In times like this you don't spend money YOU CUT TAXES. Obama is doing the exact oposite. When Rosevelt spent all the money in the depression it didn't make things better it just gave us somthing to do what got us out of the depression was WWII Obama has no idea how to run a country. If Palin was too unqualified to be vice president the how in heck is obama qualified to be presdent for not haveing been in the senate for one full term before running for president, he never even voted in the senate he always choose "present".

Well I can't argue about national debt. Except to say it's much more Bush's fault than Obama's. Bush gave the country to Obama with outstanding debts. George Bush, in 8 years, cost the country 7.7 trillion dollars (including the cost of unemployment which rose after 5 years in Iraq by 13 percent.) I don't see how the healthcare bill controls our lives. Unlike Soviet Russia, the proposed healthcare system will not tell us when to go to the doctor, what doctor to go to, and where to work as a doctor. Doctors are still free and paid, and you're allowed to go to whichever doctor you like, whenever you like. The only difference is that the huge sum of money that goes to your insurance company for partial coverage will now be paid through your taxes for full coverage.

The stimulus package was passed hastefully because the DOW was falling at an alarming rate, something had to be done. Larry Summers, one of Obamas advisers said "The president feels that... we need a major program enacted very quickly that will create three to four million jobs."

The cap and trade was rather...misplaced. Obama was able to push the senate into passing his bills and he squeezed this one in. You don't say that it's a bad idea so I will assume you don't have strong feelings on it. I agree that now is not the time for this type of thing but he had promises to fulfill.

Do you realize he said that in 2007 and January of 2008? He had no power over the war until late 2009. If he had been president at that point, you can't tell me he wouldn't have done something about it.

Jobs are being lost from the recession by the hundreds of thousands. The Stimulus Package isn't powerful enough to combat the entire basis of unemployment. And unemployment is an ongoing problem, there's no solution for it. The Stimulus Package only sought to bring jobs to those who needed it.

I don't care what you appreciate. I didn't appreciate Bush digging us in 4 trillion dollars debt. I didn't appreciate him costing the country 7.7 trillion dollars.
