Some very disappointing news...

Hope Never Dies
I am sorry to say it, but today, a dark cloud hovers over the game of baseball today. Barry Bonds, a.k.a. "Steroid Man" has hit his 756th Home Run, passing him beyond Hank Aaron, THE TRUE HOME-RUN KING. Comment and discuss...I'm going to go sulk for a while...:(

Ughh... I had the displeasure of watching it live -_-

For those don't believe Bonds took performance enhancing drugs:

Anyway... I wish the Mets fan who caught it would've thrown it back on the field. And I wish Bud Selig would erase him and all his stats from baseball.... -_-

I agree with you that it's almost 100% tainted, but.....well....we cant do anything about it. Still, you have to give him some credit for being able to do that when he is over 30 years old

Eh don't worry. Alex Rodriguez is on pace to be the new all time home rum king after Bonds, if he continues his pace he may have well over 800 home runs. Unless there's someone else who believes A-Rod is also on "steroids" the leader atop the all time list should not last as long as Aaron did.
As to Bonds, it's interesting because Bonds actually was a power hitter, during his skinny days in Pittsburgh. I'm not saying he's not on steroids or HGH, but I must say that I don't think his entire career was tainted by steroids. Honestly, if Ken Griffey Jr. didn't get hurt for over 4 years, I think we would see him closing in on the record.

Hey 757! Does he anyone still care? Why does Sportscenter immediately stop everything to show another Bonds home run? He broke the record already. No one cares.

Here some guys other than A-Rod that have a shot at breaking Bonds record: (Some of which I think my also be on the juice, but whatever)

Ken Griffey Jr.-589 home runs, age 37
Albert Pujols-274 home runs, age 27
Miguel Cabrera-132 home runs, age 24
Prince Fielder-64 home runs, age 23

Longshots:
Ryan Howard-115 home runs, age 27
Manny Ramirez-489 home runs, age 35
Andruw Jones-363 home runs, age 30
David Ortiz-250 home runs, age 31
Gary Sheffield-478 home runs, age 38
Jim Thome-490 home runs, age 37
Frank Thomas-505 home runs, age 39
Vladimir Guerrero- 356 home runs, age 31

Other than the first four, none have a realistic chance of breaking the record, but anythings possible. I really think A-Rod's gonna break it though.

I don't think Ken Griffey Jr. can do it. Those long shots are really long shots... Howard might have a chance though. I'd like to see him do it considering he's such a nice guy...

Seeing as we have a few people who know about baseball here, I'll create a baseball discussion thread :)

Liriano, just a question- Does your username have anything to do with Fransisco Liriano? :)

Barry Bonds is a cheating loser. there needs to be a * by his record like when mantle broke the single season home run record(even though he didnt cheat)
or there should be 2 record books 1 for cheating steroid users and one for honest players.
