This is the story of the hare who lost his spectacles.
Owl loved to rest quietly whilst no one was watching. sitting on a
Fence one day, he was surprised when suddenly a kangaroo ran close
By.
Now this may not seem strange, but when owl overheard kangaroo whisper
To no one in particular, ``the hare has lost his spectacles, well, he
Began to wonder.
Presently, the moon appeared from behind a cloud and there, lying on
The grass was hare. in the stream that flowed by the grass -- a
Newt. and sitting astride a twig of a bush -- a bee.
Ostensibly motionless, the hare was trembling with excitement, for
Without his spectacles he was completely helpless. where were his
Spectacles? could someone have stolen them? had he mislaid them? what
Was he to do?
Bee wanted to help, and thinking he had the answer began: ``you
Probably ate them thinking they were a carrot.
``no! interrupted owl, who was wise. ``i have good eye-sight, insight,
And foresight. how could an intelligent hare make such a silly
Mistake? but all this time, owl had been sitting on the fence,
Scowling!
Kangaroo were hopping mad at this sort of talk. she thought herself
Far superior in intelligence to the others. she was their leader;
Their guru. she had the answer: ``hare, you must go in search of the
Optician.
But then she realized that hare was completely helpless without his
Spectacles. and so, kangaroo loudly proclaimed, ``i cant send hare in
Search of anything!
``you can guru, you can! shouted newt. ``you can send him with owl.
But owl had gone to sleep. newt knew too much to be stopped by so
Small a problem -- ``you can take him in your pouch. but alas, hare
Was much too big to fit into kangaroos pouch.
All this time, it had been quite plain to hare that the others knew
Nothing about spectacles.
As for all their tempting ideas, well hare didnt care.
The lost spectacles were his own affair.
And after all, hare did have a spare a-pair.
A-pair.

It's possible they might have changed the lyrics.

All I know is, you don't write a song called "Passion Play" and call it your own.

Nightwish...-Finland = who cares...
Led Zeppelin...-Worldwide = everyone cares...

Yoyo, how long was it before Zeppelin won their first award?
Their first album:
"the album was a massive fiscal success. The album was initially released in America on 17 January 1969 to capitalise on the band's first U.S. concert tour. Before that, Atlantic Records had distributed a few hundred advance white label copies to key radio stations and reviewers. A positive reaction to its contents, coupled with a good reaction to the band's opening concerts, resulted in the album generating 50,000 advance orders. It stayed on the Billboard chart for 73 weeks and held a 79-week run on the British chart. By 1975 it had grossed $7,000,000. The success and influence of the album is today widely acknowledged, even amongst those critics who were initially sceptical. In 2006, for example, Rolling Stone stated that

"[The album] was pretty much unlike anything else. The arrangements were more sculpted than those of Cream or Jimi Hendrix, and the musicianship wasn't cumbersome like Iron Butterfly's or bombastic like Vanilla Fudge's. The closest comparisons might be to MC5 or the Stooges—both from Michigan—yet neither had the polish or prowess of Led Zeppelin, nor did Led Zeppelin have the political, social or die-hard sensibility of those landmark bands. What they did have, though, was the potential for a mass audience."
According to Lewis

"Time has done nothing to diminish the quality of one of the finest debut albums ever recorded. There's an urgency and enthusiasm about their performance that retains timeless charm. The nine cuts offer a tour de force of powerful yet often subtle dynamics ... And let's not forget the fact that with this album, Page virtually invents the guitar riff as a key songwriting component."
In 2003 the TV network VH1 named Led Zeppelin the 44th greatest album of all time. In 2003, the album was ranked number 29 on Rolling Stonethe 500 greatest albums of all time. It is widely regarded as marking a significant turning point in the evolution of hard rock and heavy metal."

Wow, look at all those platinums.

Notice every CD except the first and fourth were #1 sellers in the U.S. and Britain.

The reason the fourth one didn't make the best seller is because the media had called them overhyped so Led Zeppelin decided to release an album with no indication that they had created it. It sold 23.2 million copies in the U.S.

Argue with that.

yea it is kind of stupid but im quoting targ here "nightwish isnt that gerat"
and plus getting platnum isnt that hard now bigger population and all. Zepplin did somthing, Nightwish did nothing.

in comparison nightwish won the little leagues while jacked up on steroids
Led Zepplin won the world series without steroids.

... but that analogy is kind of stupid

AND THAT IS PROOF OF VICTORY FOR ZEPPLIN!!!!!!!!!!
you can do another round but its gunna be dumb

may history remember this thread as a battle that sparked from a completely unrelated thread and ended up being a battle that was like a 2 year old fighting a wrecking ball ( guess who won) and now the baby is crossing the road stapled to a chickens back.
yes, nightwish lost that badly

... another bad analogy

just to say that nightwish isn't only known in Scandinavia, but is also known around the world. and hippie, just so you know, I myself wasn't saying that they are not that great, but that you that compared to led zeppelin. but you like them still. you have them on your ipod.

after i put them on my ZEN it broke
Nightwish probably corrupted it and finally no nightwish isnt that great
its like a pea vs a 200 pound watermelon
... damn analogys

just to say that nightwish isn't only known in Scandinavia, but is also known around the world. and hippie, just so you know, I myself wasn't saying that they are not that great, but that you that compared to led zeppelin. but you like them still. you have them on your ipod.

fine. I will just let you filthy humans listen to your filthy human bands.
this is a quote from a guy I met who likes nightwish when I told him that my friends don't like them: "Your friends deserved to be shot. They don't know what good music is."

did you meet your freind in a mental hospital? he must have suffered brain damage because of nightwish. plus nightwish are humans and so are you.
... or are you?
perhaps nightwish turns people into freaks like the desiesed people in I AM LEGEND

they have good music but Nightwish is the worst of it all
in a 2005 poll, millions said they would rather listen to william hung than nightwish
