This book is really good, Socs & Greasers, Ponyboy, Sodapop, Darry, Johnny, Two-bit, Dally, Tim Shepard's Gang. i listed the Greasers.

I recommend all of you to read this book.
 
The book is set in the 1960's in Oklahoma City. The book is about Ponyboy Curtis and his friends, the "Greasers" and their rival gang, the "Socs" (prounounced soshes, kind of like social). The Greaser are poor and live in the bad parts of town and the Socs are wealthy and live in the rich parts of town. Ponyboy and his best friend Johnny don't want there to be Greasers and Socs, they just want to live in a world with people; a world where no one has labels. Its a really great book, and a pretty decent movie, I'd recomend it too. Its really sad torwards the end though....
