The Twilight Zone

Well, for any of you whom enjoy watching television shows from the "grander days of television" you'll know that newer shows, movies, everything generally creates allusions to famous episodes of shows from this "grand generation". One such allusion from this age has been used time and time again in television programs such as The Simpsons, Jimmy Neutron, heck even the movie Bad Boys 2 had a slight reference. This of course is the episode of The Twilight Zone titled "Time Enough at Last".

This episode, aside from being one of my favorite television moments, probably provided one of the most referenced to stories in the entertainment history, without the world every really knowing. One year ago I searched youtube for the episode, coming up empty. Being as bored as I was today, I decided to give it a whirl, and there it was uploaded just this past July :). So, for your viewing pleasure, here are the links to the three parts of this episode *best if viewed in full screen mode*.

Part 1
Part 2
Part 3

I really hope you can all enjoy this as much as I have. Once you see the whole episode, you will understand where all the references come from :). I'll keep the story quiet, so as for you to discover which allusions I am referring to on your own. Enjoy!

That's depressing. I remember seeing part of that episode during a Twilight Zone marathon on New Years Day. I love this show and the ride in Disney World I love even more :D

Wow, that was really scary actually. It's sad though to see an overall good person punished like that. Usually, the Twilight Zone punishes the bad. Maybe he was punished for his desire for time and seclusion, and maybe the answer is that desire for something so greatly may grant you that desire, although it may not be what you expected...if that makes sense.
