Smash Bros News

I'm definitely going to have to hunt both you down, follow you to your homes, and challenge you to a 99-lives stock match without items at Final Destination sometime. 'Amazing' is relative.

Anyways, back on topic: who here thinks Diddy Kong is going to be the Pichu (That being the pathetically underpowered lightweight that is good only for target practice.) of Brawl?
I love that stage...but 99 lives? Anyway, I agree. He will be underpowered, and very easily killed, but we won't know until the game comes out...

I don't think so. Pichu's downfall was the fact that all his moves hurt him as well as the enemy, and I don't think Diddy will be that way. He's also going to be very nimble, and thus will be able to get away from attacks easier. Of course, Diddy was my favorite Donkey Kong character when I was younger, so that might just be a biased opinion.

Pichu isn't that bad if you can use him. And Fox has a longer fire thingy (b+up move) than Falco. Also, I thought Fox was faster than Falco, Versac.

Yeah, Fox is supposed to be the faster but weaker one, and Falco is the slower but stronger one. Or at least it's supposed to be that way.

Fox vs. Falco

Fox is faster, but also lighter and weaker. Falco, besides having the second best jump in the game (Yoshi being the top dog ... er, dinosaur), is sturdier, stronger, and only slightly slower.

And, Versac and Dakare, I believe that Diddy will be a very nimble character, hard to hit, and fun to play as. Also, Pichu is cool because, even though he has less jumping ability and speed, he is a powerhouse in team battles (ever take a fully charged Skull Bash) and a small target, making him harder to hit.

Some of Pichu's slower moves were overpowered, but a skilled opponent can easily avoid these attacks. The light weight really destroyed Pichu, as a smash at 70% could prove fatal. The self-damage really wasn't all that bad if handled properly. It would only do about 100% over the course of a 7-life match which, while annoying, wasn't game breaking.

Okay, you guys made me dig up my old copy of Melee to check this out. Yes, Fox is technically faster than Falco, but his speed is in running, not attacking and dodging. Fox is fast, but Falco is agile.

Fire Fox has the same range as Fire Bird, but it harms opponents during the charge time as well.

Let me explain what I mean when I say that Fox has weak attacks; Fox's moves are more focused on dealing damage (and actually do more than Falco's) than sending an opponent flying. The best example of this is their seperate Air Drills (A+down in the air). Fox's is a multi-hit move that deals significant damage. Falco's is a meteor attack. A friggin meteor attack people! Those hurt.

Falco has amazing areal attacks and a great jump, but is definitely not the best in sheer hight. He falls very quickly, which decreases the time he's a clay pigeon for ranged attacks, and his hits are solid enough to kill. The best jumper in sheer hight is Mewtwo. Yoshi is a close second. Falco is about tied with Ness for third.

Falco's a bird - his bones are hollow. He snaps like a twig under accurate, sustained assault, and the trick is to keep moving to avoid those combos. Even compared to Pichu, I wouldn't call him heavy. He is definitely lighter than Fox.

Hmm... TWO new things today. First is the music for Smashvile (as well as my favorite AC song) Go K.K. Rider. And then there's Yoshi's final smash: Super Dragon. Looks interesting, yet dangerous.

Today's news is Spicey Curry, which puts you on Fire for a little bit, allowing firey combo's.

Imagine curry with Ness' PK Fire attack.....WOW...

For today was the types of special attacks, using Metanight as the example. As well as bringing in Andross from StarFox in as an assist trophie.

Ouch. That would be the most ineffective yet annoying attack ever.

From the pictures provided, it's possible to get an idea what Meta Knight's moves are.

His up is obviously a recovery move, probably similar to Marth's Dolphin from Melee. His down looks to be the cape he used to deflect Pit's arrow in the first movie. The other two are kinda self-evident.

Today's news is Six, (technically 9, if you count Pokemon Change) of the Pokemon Trainers moves.

August 30: Today's News is Gliding

ZOMG UPDATES!!! @_@

Introducing: a movie about Pit, Diddy Kong's special moves, Gliding, WarioWare minigames, and Meta Knight. :)

Mario's Special Down Move (F.L.U.D.D.) and Pokemom Stadium 2 were announced today.

Personally, I think the Pokemon Stadium Stage looks SWEET!

Today was all about music. An explanation on how you can set the probability of a song appearing when you play a certain stage. An item you can gather in the game (CD) that is a new song. Also there was the main Super Smash Bros Theme and the pokemon stadium theme.

Past week:

- Munchlax (Pokeball)
- Lyn from Fire Emblem (Assist Trophy)
- Battleship Halberd (Stage)
- Special Battle (Mode)
- and the ****ing Ice Climbers are back...whoop-a-dee-doo-da...

Yay for Ice Climbers!!!! I'm gonna use them on all ZS on-line tourneys we have for it (if any).

... Must ... kill ... Ice Climbers!

If they bring those demons back, they should DEFINATLY bring back Falco ... sadly, I am resigning myself to the fact that Falco may not be back.
