October 2009 Mailbag

You’ve all been waiting for it almost a year, and here it is! The October 2009 Mailbag!!!  It’s been a while, but I decided to take the initiative to get it up here.

Linkman asks:
Do you think Nintendo is running out of ideas? I ask because of the recent demonstration of “Spirit Tracks” which looks cool…but I’m a bit worried.

Windmage answers:
I’m not sure what Nintendo is up to these days, and although I don’t want to use the word phrase “sold out”, I will.  These days it seems they’ll do anything for a buck.  As for Spirit Tracks, I’m not impressed.

Yoyolll asks:
Once again, I would like to ask the reason why 100+ of my questions for the mailbag were deleted.

Windmage answers:
I’m sorry. Perhaps they were too innapropriate? Too strongly worded? Too sarcastic? All of the above?

Dakare asks:
Do you think that Nintendo has abandoned the “hardcore”? Or do you think that the “hardcore” fans are just over-looking Nintendo’s attempts to please them? Or do you think that Nintendo’s attempts to please the “hardcore” are just really feeble?

Windmage answers:
At this point, I think Nintendo is trying to accomplish what every corporation tries to accomplish: Making money.  With the Wii being mainly marketed towards so called “casual gamers” and families, I think they have forgotten their hardcore audience.

Dakare asks:
What is your favorite Mario game?

Windmage answers:
Super Mario Bros.

Dakare asks:
Whats that really odd symbol to the right under all the affiliates?

Windmage answers:
That is one of those famous “I’d tell you, but then I’d have to kill you” answers.  And I don’t really want to kill you, so we’ll say its a secret 🙂

UltimaLink007 asks:
Windmage, living in the Southern United States, would you say you have the stereotypical drawl in your voice? Why or why not?

Windmage answers:
I don’t think I do, owing to the fact that I live in a suburban area.  When I’m angry though, I probably sound pretty southern.  And also, I’ll use southern slang words like “y’all” and “buggy” for shopping cart.  At any rate, you’d probably have to judge that for yourself.

Dakare asks:
So, when is the next mailbag going up?

Windmage answers:
Apparently, now 😀
