Throughout Twilight Princess you can discover seven hidden sword skills to aide you in your quest. To acomplish this, you will need to howl older Legend of Zelda tunes as Wolf Link in front of whistling stones. After completing this, you will need to locate the golden wolf as a human whom will then teach you the skill. The order you locate the statues and wolves is up to you as you will only learn the next availiable skill in the set. Below are all the locations in our recomended order, however again, you can do them in whatever order you see fit and get the same results.
Where: Faron Woods
You will meet this wolf automaticaly before entering the Forest Temple where you will learn the “Ending Blow” move. This skill is required for several boss battles, so Twilight Princess forces you to learn it. Isn’t that nice :).
Where: Death Mountain, you will find the stone during your search for the Kakariko Tears of Light. About half way up Death Mountain you will hear the whistle and see it on a small rise in the land surounded by air jets.
Wolf Location: Ordon Spring, near the secret hole.
Where: After you get the flow of water to Lake Hylia back run accros the raised dock near the cabin to the other side of the river. You will find the stone on a small junction of land overlooking the river.
Wolf Location: You’ll find this wolf on a small platform outside the East Castle Town Entrance *West on the GCN version*
Where: On your trip to the Sacred Grove you will find the howling stone right after the traps, prior to entering the Sacred Grove.
Wolf Location: You’ll find this wolf at the South entrance to Castle Town in a corner on the lower right hand side after the stairs.
Where: On a nearby cliff to the tower where you found Auru in Lake Hylia. The stone is very close to the tower.
Wolf Location: Right before entering the enemy camp *after ridding the boar in the Dessert* take a detour to the right side path to find the wolf.
Where: When on the trail of the Reekfish scent in the Snowpeak area, you will be brought right to the stone, how kind.
Wolf Location: The wolf will appear in the Kakariko graveyard near the end *close to King Zora’s Tomb*
Where: In the Hidden Village; smash through a small window in the second building on the right to reach the stone.
Wolf Location: You can find the final wolf right in front of Hyrule Castle, which is the North exit of Castle Town. You do not need to have removed the barrier around the castle to have access to the final wolf.
You will learn these skills in the order given, it will not matter which wolf you visit.
Ending Blow: The first skill learned. You will be able to kill an enemy by down thrusting your sword into them while they are on the ground.
Shield Attack: By thrusting the nunchuck forward while targeting an enemy, you will be able to temperarily disarm them by smashing them with your shield.
Back Slice: By double jumping to the left or right while Z targeting and swinging your sword, you will be able to perform a pary attack similar to that found in The Wind Waker.
Helm Splitter: After shield attacking an enemy, when prompted, you will be able to leap into the air and smash the enemy in the head with your sword, as well as end up behind them.
Mortal Draw: When not Z Targeting run to an enemy and when prompted, push “A”. Link will draw his sword and instantly kill the poor soul you used this skill on.
Jump Strike: While Z targeting and holding A, you will charge your sword. When your sword chimes, release to perform a downward thrust with a large shock wave.
Great Spin: When your life energy is full you will be able to perform a far more powerful spin attack with a far greater range. This will come in great handy in the Cave of Ordeals when taking down over 40 foes at a time in some cases.
