The Legend of Zelda Spirit Tracks was released worldwide in December 2009. A number of series fans initially mocked the game as possibly being “too easy” or “too kiddie” as was the case with The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker and The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass. Spirit Tracks, however, proved to be an excellent addition to the Zelda series. With increased difficulty, a fresh take on Hyrule, and charming characters, Spirit Tracks was highly regarded.
