As any regular visitor of Nintendo's North American community website, Nsider, will tell you today marks a very sad day in history. Today Nintendo replaced the beloved Nsider community with a simple page stating:
"Nintendo is working on a major overhaul to Nintendo.com to support the continued success of Nintendo DS and Wii. As we prepare for this huge site update, Nintendo must unfortunately close the Nintendo NSider Forums message boards indefinitely beginning Sept. 17, 2007."
For years the Nsider Forums have been a safe haven for Nintendo fans to discuss upcoming games, have fun, and most importantly hang out with some of Nintendo's finest *or not so finest in the case of NOA_Shuan :)*. My participation in the community died down a few years ago, although I could never state that my time there was not chuck full of some form or another of insanity. In addition, much of Nsider's community structure served as an inspiration for how to structure the Zelda Sages community. It is with this that I hope you all join me in wishing a fond farewell to the Nsider Community as one member stated, "The best darn thing since powdered fish."
