A Small Site Update

Hey all, just a bit of information concerning our plans to build a better Zelda Sages.  First of all, as of right now we are experiencing a hold-up with the software we are going to use to power ZS.  There are several bugs which would negatively impact your experience on Zelda Sages (in addition to making it impossible for me to style the darn thing at the present).  As such, we’re going to need to wait a few more weeks before heavy styling work can be done.  As I said in a previous posting, however, we have a very good idea of what exactly we’re building.  Our new staff member, Dane, and I have been working on creating the new site banner, which we’ve received very positive feedback on fro SITs and Sages.

Even with the minor setback, however, I’ve decided to implement a new function that will exist in the new ZS right now.  Rather than using an internal form system, we’re moving a lot of our communication systems over to Google Apps.  A few months ago, I moved all the internal ZS mail system over to Google Apps, a suite for webmasters provided by Google that allows the use of all Google account services (such as Gmail and Google Docs)  on a domain level.  Actually, the last few months the staff has been swinging easy using Gmail.  As you’ve noticed, that hasn’t changed a single thing for you guys; Emails are still the old zeldasages, etc.  However, the first bit of change for you guys is the use of Google Docs for that above mentioned form communication.  Check out our mailbag page to take a look-see.  I know it stretches the screen a bit; this is mainly due to the fact I set display settings for our development website and not the current ZS.  Rest assured, when we launch the new ZS, this won’t be an issue.  Also, all mailbag questions submitted in the last few days that were not answered in Mike’s mailbag should be re-submitted using the new form.

That’s really all there is to say for now.  I’ll be able to say much more after a staff meeting taking place Saturday the 23rd.
