No Ocarina of Time 3D Till AFTER E3

It appears I was right in my hesitation to post GameStop’s suggested release date for The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D, which was stated as being June 2nd. In a recent MTV Multiplayer interview with Reggie Fils-Aime, it was casually announced that titles such as Mario, Kid Icarus, and Zelda would be released when Nintendo felt they were completely finished development, and that because of this, they would not be available until after this year’s E3. He does mention, however, that come E3, we will be given more information about the titles. Hopefully, this will include a release date.

3DS Game Card Capacity Revealed

Macronix, the manufacturer chosen by Nintendo to produce the 3DS’s game cards, has recently confirmed the cards capacity, and I must say, its a staggerer. Compared to the Nintendo DS’s 1 gigabyte capacity, or more impressively, the Wii disc’s 4 gigabyte capacity, the 3DS game card will have a capacity of up to 8 gigabytes! All things considered, this could allow for some truly incredible game experiences, let alone a Zelda title, who’s experience we know could benefit immensely from a larger game capacity, especially when referring to a handheld.

Skyward Sword: Why you should be Excited

Well, I was going to post an editorial praising Zelda for its artistic prowess as a video game, and how it may someday lead video games into acquiring the status of an art form; if not for the notably infelicitous negative spotlight The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword has been receiving since its debut at E3 months ago. It is understandable that many may have been disappointed at the moment of the game’s reveal (myself included), but it is clear that sense then, much of the fan base has not attempted to partake in the notion that SS will be a game worth pursuing. Quite frankly, this is a closed, and narrow-minded trend of thought, which, coming from the fan base itself, is a bit of a disappointment.
