In a Nintendo Direct broadcast early this morning, Nintendo announced that The Legend of Zelda Wind Waker will be remastered for the WiiU (in HD) and that Zelda WiiU will be a more, “back to basics / remastering” of the Zelda franchise!
Wind Waker HD will include, “refined gameplay mechanics” and HD graphics. It is unclear if Nintendo plans to add additional content to the game, such as a special dungeon or additional quests, although given the history of re-release / improved Zelda titles it is a possibility.
