Edge Magazine Awards Skyward Sword 10/10 & the first UK Comercial

Following the news of Skyward Sword’s 98/100 from ONM, another magazine has revealed its review score.  Edge Magazine, notorious for its critical reviews, has awarded Skyward Sword a 10/10, the first time a Zelda game has received the honor since Ocarina of Time (and one of only 14 games to ever be rated 10/10 in Edge’s nearly 20 years of publication).  The newest issue of Edge goes on sale October 25th.

Also available is the first commercial in the United Kingdom for Skyward Sword, which premiered at the Joystick Awards.  Click the read more link for the footage.  Some great new footage and a fantastic score!  Get excited!

First Review: OFM Gives Skyward Sword a 98%.

It already seems that The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword is quite the record breaker. It is Nintendo’s most ambitious title to date, holding a longer production time than any game in Nintendo’s history. It is breaking the mold of all previous Zelda games, with elements such as 1:1 controls and remixed navigation. It has even secured more preorders than any other Zelda game to date. So, it should serve as no surprise that it has broken yet another one, this time being the new holder of the highest score ever doled out by Official Nintendo Magazine, and receiving the moniker, “best Zelda game ever made.”

First 15 Minutes of Skyward Sword Gameplay!

ULTRA-Major_SPOILERS!

Filmed at a private Zelda 25th party in Germany, Nintendo showcased a private hands-on with Skyward Sword to attendees. The film in this presentation, created by NiTENDOMiNATiON, showcases the first fifteen minutes of actual gameplay. Note that the game is still running off the development hardware (as evident by the button bar at the top) which also means Nintendo has yet to begin printing disks (also that some adjustments may still be done prior to release).

Again, although the game is still “in development”, this likely is just about what you will experience during the first fifteen minutes of the game. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!
